This is what the dining room looks like which is 2 levels. The reserved tables if you made reservations, were I believe the first floor, and 2nd level for walk-ins. If it wasn't full they would put you with the reserved tables. We are not ones for making reservations because we never know where we will eat or what time.
We arrive in Dobrovnik, Croatia early in the morning. I have a GOT (Game of Thrones for those who aren't fanatics like me) walking tour booked through trip advisor. I was going to be adventurous and take the city bus for cheap, which was right outside the pier. They said the only thing is that you might have to wait awhile for it to come. As we were walking towards the buses and thinking about wasted time, we took a bee line for the ship's bus to Old Town for $16.00 RT. Good thing we did. It was longer than I thought, and a twisty windy way to get there. We got there early and it wasn't crowded yet. So we took a little walk around the old city.
Back to our meeting place where we meet our tour guide who has as a dragon perched on his shoulder. Dravo was our guide who had a whole book with pictures and scenes from the show.

And fooling tourists .
He worked as security and sometimes an extra on the show. As he led us to different scenes we would take photos and sometimes we could reenact the scene with the photo and he would snap it for us. My husband who does not watch Game of Thrones had no idea what we were doing.
Next he took us to the very picturesque castle where many scenes were shot. Fort Lovrijenac or St. Lawrence Fortress, often called "Dubrovnik's Gibraltar", is a fortress and theater outside the western wall of the city of Dubrovnik in Croatia. I believe this was somewhere around $10.00, (50 Kunas per person)

The true GOT fan will recognize the photo above. We also went to the store that had the "Throne" where of course I took my picture. After a 2 hour tour and the heat we stopped in to the "Buzz Bar" recommended by Dravo, for 2 large beers. Usually I'm not the beer drinker, but when I'm out in the sun and it's hot, that's my go to. The total was 66 Kunas which is about 8 dollars total. We still feel like that was a mistake. If you saw how big these beers were you'd think one would be that much. Then we strolled around, bought candy at "Captain Candy" and shopped around.
Caught this amazing photo towards the end.
It was very crowded by this time. Two people were lectured about getting fined for wearing bathing suits. They must of just come from swimming. Toilets are €1 outside the old city, easy to use and get to. Otherwise they are in pubs or restaurants. We did not walk the wall which is now €30 per person tourist season. Besides it was too hot to do that. We went back to the ship and got rid of our Kunas by buying a t-shirt. They take Kunas and Euros which is a good way to get rid of them. Back to the ship, take a shower, go to EXC and eat dinner in the restaurant. Show is Gary Arbuthnot, Irish instrumentalist, who plays flute and penny whistle.
What an amazing day and experience!!
